PANDA ANTIVIRUS+FIREWALL 2007 6.00.02 update to 6.01.00

The process of publishing the upgrade from version 6.00.02 to version 6.01.00 (Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2007) will be started shortly.

Changes to this version

• Version compatible with Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit and MS Office 12.
• Corrections to interface texts in all languages.
• Firewall corrections.
  o Updatable IDS (snort type).
  o Advanced rule to enable Remote Desktop.
  o Firewall configuration update since earlier versions.
  o Identification of services that run with "SVCHOST", "DLLHOST", "SYSTEM"…
  o Deletion of system-blocking.
• New, more effective antivirus engine.
• Improved detection ratios, enhanced rootkit detection and improved heuristics for detection of unknown malware.
• Improved usability thanks to the new warning and pop-up message system.
• Improved installation and uninstallation of PANDA products, thanks to the new Generic Uninstaller.
• Low system resource usage.
• Automatic protection against all types of malicious software.

Bugs corrected

• Error that caused Outlook 2003 to constantly ask for the account username and password when the antivirus was installed.
• Incompatibility with Cisco’s VPN client
• Failure in the Autodiagnosis
• Loss of Internet connection due to the access point being detected as a WiFi intruder
• Blocking of WiFi printer due to detected ports scan
• Random network loss
• Problems with the Audio/Video Streaming via the Internet
• Problems to access the Internet through the ISA Server
