Launch der “PMOP Version 5.03” am 1. April 2009

Panda Security Deutschland ist Stolz mitteilen zu dürfen, dass die Veröffentlichung der “Panda Managed Office Protection 5.03” für Mittwoch, den 1. April 2009 angesetzt ist.

Mit dieser Version werden eine Reihe an Verbesserungen und Anpassungen in dieses Produkt implementiert, womit wir auch dem Feedback unserer Kunden und Partner Rechnung tragen.

We are proud to announce the launch of version 5.03 of PMOP!

As you know, we have been working on the new version of Panda Managed Office Protection (5.03) for several months.

From April 1 (next Wednesday) the version 5.03 will go into production after passing all the certification tests.

Here are some of the new features this version implements:

1) Partner Console

· Automatic sending of daily, weekly and monthly reports.

· Centralized management of protection deployment errors in the clients.

· Advanced search of clients.

· Exportation of client list and information to files, with or without filters.

· Configuration of the default language of clients’ protection, without having to access their consoles

· Enabling/disabling of automatic updates for clients, without having to access their consoles.

· Alerts and warnings to Partners section.

2) Client console

· Improved reports:

· Selection of group(s)

· Option to omit license information in the Executive report

· Daily, weekly and monthly Executive and Detection reports

· Advanced search of computers.

· Exportation of computer list and information to files, with or without filters.

· Advanced search of detections.

· Exportation of detections list and information to files, with or without filters.

· Viewing and management of licenses with several maintenance contracts (not the total)

· Sending of detection warnings via SMTP server with authentication

· Alerts and warnings to Partners section.

· Windows Small Business Server 2000/2003/2008

· Windows Home Server

How will the upgrade to version 5.03 be?

From April 1 on, all new PMOP clients and Partners will be able to enjoy the solution’s new features.

Clients and Partners with previous versions will be gradually upgraded from April 1 to April 15.

As usual, upgrades will be automatic, and will require a system restart, unless the client disables the updates on profiles that require it (especially servers).
