Debuggen von Prozessen

Um genaue Analysen von “hängenden” oder “abstürzenden” Prozessen zu erstellen, ist es teilweise von nöten sogenannte Dumps anzufertigen. Dies ist relativ einfach mit den Microsoft Debugging Tools möglich.

Syntax wie folgt:

c:\Programme\Debugging Tools for Windows\adplus.vbs -hang -o <AUSGABEPFAD> -pn DATEINAME.exe

Da viele Administratoren gerne eine Info darueber erhalten wollen wenn ein Dump geschrieben wurde kann die Funktion -notify <COMPUTERNAME ODER BENUTZERNAME> dazu verwendet werden eine Nachricht abzusetzen.Weiterhin kann die Option -hang auch durch -crash ersetzt werden.

IM and P2P applications blocked by Panda GateDefender Performa 3.0

Panda GateDefender Performa implements filtering of IM/P2P applications to monitor and block access to instant messaging and file sharing applications.

Below you will find a list of the IM and P2P applications blocked by Panda GateDefender Performa 3.00:

IM:

• ICQ/AOL: ICQ 5.1, ICQ 6.0, Gaim, AIM 5.9.60.89, pidgin 2.0.1, mIRC
• Yahoo Messenger: Yahoo Mesenger 8.1.0.249, Gaim, pidgin 2.0.1
• MSN Messenger: MSN Messenger 8.1, Gaim, pidgin 2.0.1
• Jabber: Jabber, Gaim, wildfire 2.5.1, pidgin 2.0.1, psi v0.10
• Skype: Skype 3.2
• IRC: XChat IRC, Gaim, pidgin 2.0.1

P2P:

• eDonkey: Emule 0.48a
• gnutella: Lime Wire 4.12, Shareaza 2.2.5.0
• Fast Track: Kazaa Media Desktop 3.2.5
• Open Nap: WinMX 3.53
• Bit Torrent: BitTorrent, Bit Tornado Client

NOTE: On occasions, it is possible that blocking of some of the applications above is not effective. The reason is that configuration of these applications is not static and can change (for example, the ports in use).  To fix this it is necessary to check the sensitivity of the protection

Deinstallation von Agent und Schutzmodul (Novell)

Product: AdminSecure 2007
Operating Systems: Novell Netware Server (v4.x, 5.x,6.x, 6.5 SP6)

Follow the steps below to uninstall the protection and the communications agent from a Novell server.

Steps to follow

1. From the Novell server system console, type:

   Unload pavnw4.nlm
   Unload pav.nlm
   

2. If any of the modules remains loaded, type:

   Unload pavtest.nlm
   Unload pavrpt.nlm
   Unload boxinfo.nlm
   Unload pavat.nlm
   Unload pavupd.nlm
   

3. Remove any traces of uninstalled elements. To do this, go to the SYS: volume and eliminate the following folders (if they exist):

   SYS:\PANDASOF
   SYS:\PAVTEMP
   SYS:\PavTmp
   

4. Edit the Autoexec.ncf file in SYS:\SYSTEM by deleting the following entries:

   LOAD sys:\pandasof\admin3\PAVAGENT\PAGENT.NLM
   LOAD sys:\pandasof\admin3\SCHEDUL\PAVSCHED.NLM
   SEARCH ADD sys:\pandasof\admin3\PAVAGENT\
   LOAD sys:\pandasof\pavnw\PAV.NLM
   

5. Go to SYS:\ETC and delete the following files should they exist:

   AgNwInst.ini
   AvNwInst.ini
   LEAVNW.LOG
   LPAVNW.LOG

After completing these steps, you will have uninstalled the protection and communications agent from Novell.

Hotfix Retail 2008 – Verbindungsprobleme mit VPN-Client

Panda Security hat 2 Hotfixe fuer die folgenden Produkte veroeffentlicht:

Der Hotfix ist jeweils fuer Windows XP (32 Bit) und Windows Vista (32 Bit) vorgesehen.

Er behebt Verbindungsprobleme beim Gebrauch von VPN-Clienten (Watchgurad)
