Hotfix 03 (Admin Secure 4.02.40) – Improvement Hotfix
Geschrieben am 18. April 2008 Keine KommentarePanda Security hat den Hotfix HAS_4_02_40_0003.exe veröffentlicht, der folgende Korrekturen mitbringt:- TimeOuts in the Internet Explorer with Webproxy and Cpoint (NetworkSecure).
- Incorrect restoration of files in quarantine when they have extended characters.
- Explorer.exe crash with Windows 2k and Outlook 2k when we try to send a mail with the contextual menu.
- When ContentFilter deletes an attached file in a mail the text of this mail is deleted too.
- Outlook crash if the MAPI32.DLL has the version 6.5.6944.0 (This version is installed with the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Administration Tools).
- Files PavXX.dat are still generated when they are not needed.
- AVTASK crash scanning attached .MDB files.
- Truprevent Local Alerts are incorrect when blocking an application.
- The protection corrupts files copied through WebDav (SharePoint).
- AdminSecure console error 2101 when updating the signature file of FileSecure and in this machine ExchangeSecure is also installed.
- Prevent.sig file does not update correctly.
- LSP Incompatibility with VPN WatchGuard client.
- Problems between the Shield and some CRCs.
- Infected files are moved to quarantine though the first option selected is Disinfect.
- ExchangeSecure version disappears after uninstalling FileSecure in the same machine.
- If we made the deployment of AVTC.EXE through SMS “Error 5″ appears in the SMS installation logs. (Only administrative error but appears).
- Improvement in the HTTP navigation changing Webproxy.

Panda GateDefender Performa HotFix Pack 400

Most important changes:
- Fixed errors that caused different kinds of errors in quarantine
- Digest or NTLM authentication for current profile system in Performa
- Compressed files that, once decompressed, took over 150 MB were incorrectly reported as “Zip of Death”. They must be reported as “Dangerous content”
- Web filtering database could not be updated

A vulnerability has been detected in the Internet protection level control included in Panda Antivirus+ Firewall 2008 and Panda Internet Security 2008.The vulnerability has been located in the Cpoint.sys driver, which causes a memory corruption when handling malformed requests.
When exploited, this vulnerability could cause:
- Denial of service attacks which could crash the system.
- Arbitrary code execution which could compromise system security.
Hackers do not need specific user permissions to exploit this vulnerability.
Hotfix hft70801s1.exe has been developed to resolve this situation in Panda Antivirus & Firewall 2008.
Steps for applying the hotfix

Save the file to your hard disk (to the Windows Desktop, for example).

Run the downloaded file. To do this, double-click on the hft70801s1.exe file to apply the hotfix.
